Terms of use
Rules for Lumen Bid. You own the number you turn in. The software does not walk the job.

Agreement
By opening the site, a sample job, or an account, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer. If you are buying seats for a shop, you have authority to bind that shop.
The service
Lumen Bid counts devices on electrical drawings, explodes assemblies, measures homeruns, prices a BOM, and stamps a bid letter. It is a worksheet. It is not a licensed professional engineer, a contract, a bond, or a stand-in for reading the spec and walking the job.
Seats and fees
- $300 a named user a month.
- One login is one person. Three estimators are three seats.
- Unlimited jobs per seat. Not priced per drawing.
- Checkout is not live. We will not take a card on this page.
- Sharing a password is not a shop license.
Details: Pricing.
Your jobs
You own the estimate you send. Drawings you upload stay yours. Exports (Excel BOM, shop-book JSON, printed letter) are yours. Guest jobs live in this browser until you clear them. We do not claim a copyright in your takeoff.
Your responsibilities
- Review every count before you stamp.
- Paste fixture quotes. A blank price stays UNKNOWN — it is not $0.
- Calibrate scale before you trust footage.
- Do not upload drawings you have no right to use.
- Do not attempt to scrape, reverse, or resell the catalog as a standalone product.
Acceptable use
No attacking the service, no sharing a seat, no uploading malware, no using the product to bid work you are not authorized to bid. We can suspend a seat that breaks this.
Accounts
You are responsible for the password. Notify us if a login is stolen. We may refuse a name that impersonates another shop.
Intellectual property
The Lumen Bid name, mark, software, and sample job belong to us. You get a limited license to use the product for your estimating work while the seat is paid (or as a guest on the sample). You do not get the source, the catalog dump, or a right to white-label it.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is. Counts can miss a mark. Homeruns can be skipped. Assemblies follow recipes, not every odd field condition. We do not warrant that a total will match the job as built.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for a bid you send, a missed homerun, a fixture package you left UNKNOWN, lost profit, or a GC backcharge. If a court finds liability anyway, it is capped at the fees you paid us in the prior three months.
Indemnity
You will defend us against claims that arise from a number you stamped, a drawing you were not allowed to upload, or your misuse of the product.
Termination
You can stop using the product at any time. Export first. We can close a seat for non-payment or abuse. Sections that should survive (ownership of your files, limitation of liability, indemnity) survive.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. Material changes will be dated on this page.
Governing law
California law governs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in California hear disputes, except where a consumer-protection statute says otherwise.
